Francisco Aninat has more than twenty years of outstanding professional experience. He focuses his practice on solving complex disputes through national and international arbitration, civil and commercial litigation, and through strategic advice to Chilean and foreign clients. He has a vast experience in matters related to concessions, construction, energy, mining, and corporate disputes.

Background

  • Before joining Bofill Escobar Silva Abogados as a partner in 2013, he worked in the United States for four years as a foreign attorney in the Global Disputes area of practice of Jones Day, where he participated in litigation in several countries of the Americas and in investment arbitrations. Previously, he worked as a fellow at the World Bank. In Chile, he began his career at Barros, Court & Correa, and then worked at Aninat & Cía.

  • Lawyer, University of Chile.
  • Diploma in Economics and Finance for Lawyers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Chile.

ACTIVIDADES

  • He has been a speaker at multiple conferences on international law and dispute resolution, including the American Bar Association, International Law Section, the Peruvian Arbitration Institute, and the Chilean Society of International Law. He was a professor of Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2014).

Memberships

  • He is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CAM) of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and the Asset Affairs Tribunal of the National Professional Soccer Association (ANFP).

  • He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association, the Chilean Society of Construction Law, the legal committee of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOES), and the International Trade committee of Amcham.
